Hello everyone,
It's was 3 long months ago when I first landed here on Steemit and oh how exciting it was to finally meet the welcoming community here at SSG! I was amazed at the number of people who took the time to say hi and welcomed me to the family. I had already heard many great things about this place and had much gentle encouragement from @phelimint to come and play in the sandbox....well, unfortunately as quickly as I had arrived, I vanished. As time passed, I felt it harder and harder to reengage with the community. Plagued with shades of anxiety on what the heck to write, coupled with a technological impairment left me senselessly fearful to take the next step. I had always felt like I was missing out on something good, something positive however being a bit introverted as I am, it's amazing how paralytic the aforementioned above can be.
Fast forward to the past few weeks and I notice my thoughts about this whole situation are beginning to change.
Hearing stories from @phelimint about what was happening here and the friendships made were beginning to keep me awake at night with the feeling of being left out. I was beginning to feel a resurgence of wanting to be a part of the community I was not, I was beginning to question why I was so fearful.
Fast forward to the now, I find my curiosity getting the better of me and as I continue to poke around on here it continues to grow. I must admit, I am enjoying feeding my crypto curiosity but at the end of the day I am a silver and gold stack'er and that's what this community is all about. It truly is great to be able to share and talk about our passion in a place that is supportive and understanding. I have enjoyed reading people's post about their PM additions, items they've purchased using crypto, gains from crypto turned into PM's...just awesome stuff! In the future, I look forward to sharing some of the gems I have collected over the years as well.....these are exciting times and I feel grateful to be a part of it.
PS, I'm not sure if this is a public apology for being MIA or my request to re-join the community but I felt like I needed to explain where the heck I was for so long lol. One last shout out to @phelimint for mostly not giving up on me ;)
Cheers to an amazing 2018 everyone!
