Often time, we see ourselves as wishing for way too much and too big that we take some time to cut down on our dreams because we fear the size and wonder if God will be able to do that which we desire.
No matter where you are, you haven't yet tested the surface of where God wants you to be at.
Because someone doesn't see your dreams as possible, doesn't mean they aren't. You are you and they are they and they cannot live your best life for you.
You need to do your big and allow God do His big for you.
I will be using Joseph as an example of when God's big is bigger than our own big.
The story of Joseph the 11th of 12 sons of a wealthy nomad Jacob (later renamed Israel) can be seen in the book of Genesis 37-50.
As the story goes, Joseph was very much loved by Jacob because he had been born to him in his old age. He loved him so much that he made him a special coat of many colors.
The aspects of Joseph's life that got his brothers envious and hateful of him is quite interesting because, their father didn't fail to let them know who the favorite of his children was.
Down the line, Joseph was put in prison for something he didn't do. Now, don't forget that, he was thrown into a pit and then later sold to merchants into slavery. Genesis 37:28
From there he was sold to an Egyptian who wielded power and as you know, he soon landed in prison for a crime he did not commit.
While in prison all he could think of was to get out and that I am sure was his prayer to God.
After interpreting two dreams in the prison, he was so desperate about leaving prison that, he begged the Butler to help him tell the world about his abilities.
Who wouldn't? He just wanted to be out of prison.
Meanwhile, God's plan for him was so different that Joseph soon forgot how important he was and how he used to dream seeing his elder brothers and the stars and moon bow before him.
You see, in life we get so troubled that we forget about our abilities and focus on what others can give us. We limit ourselves and tell God to not bless us in His own way.
There comes a time in a man's life that his desires and expectations are enlarged and delivered to him in the most easiest of ways.
God wasn't sleeping, no. He was creating a vacant position for Joseph in a foreign land.
And like a flash in the pan, it took that impossible dream to get him before the king.
Note that, Joseph just wanted to be free from prison, but he soon found himself standing before the king and helping him solve problems. Who would have thought?
From interpreting that impossible dream that all the trained sorcerers, magicians, herbalist, teachers and advisers cannot, Joseph was moved from prison to the palace.
Like the naive Joseph, many of us pray for our own big and will do anything g to see it even if it means cutting it to size so it fits the "budget" of the world.
You have to learn to accept that, there is no plan of God that isn't well though out and that there is nothing He cannot do.
Allow God's big happen and stop cutting your dream to fit the approval of the people who think small.
The world is big, way bigger than any man can own and with all the resources available, you can own and be anything good you desire.
God is got you!
