Yes, me neither. I first heard about Quibi yesterday, when I was watching a Youtube channel called Ordinary Things.
This was my first and probably the last time I will hear about Quibi, which is even funnier. It was founded in 2018 and raised over 1.75 billion dollars from major Hollywood film studios, banks and more before even launching. The platform launched on April 2020 and on October 21, six months after its launch, they said they will shut it all down around December 1.
Quibi was a a very short-lived short-form streaming platform that generated content mostly for mobile devices. To this day I don't understand who would want to watch some amazing movies on a tiny mobile screen.
I think it's not all negative because some good movies came out of Quibi, for example a movie called Most Dangerous Game. It looks pretty cool and it has a lot of great actors such as Christoph Waltz or Liam Hemsworth.
Anyway, I am going to take a Quibi now.
