Even before the proliferation of the smartphone I was fascinated by self portraits. This is my entry in @jasonrussell's #portraitcontest I composed this on July 4th, 2015 using a cheap Fujifilm Finepix on a 3 second delay, 1960's Sears Roebuck tripod, and a little bit of lightroom. I only wish I could have gotten the dog in the frame to make the photo truly American. Hope it gives you all a chuckle.
