Life is not always fair to everyone, some get it right at the first go, while others simply require multiple shots to get it right. The bad part is that some simply never get it right at all and may feel like they simply got the short end of the stick from life at the end.
But a bad story at any point in life is never the end, it is simply a start to a much greater story. It is the beginning of what was thought to be the end. A man's life is never decided by how he was born or lived the early stages, it is determined by how he died at the end of his story. You don't need to become another person to be great, you need to become a better you.
I was going through my whatsapp status last night and I saw a video explaining how the most successful people became the way they were. The truth is most of these individuals did not seek to simply become rich (not to that extent they found themselves) nor famous, they strove to provide services that will change the face of humanity. Those services rendered became the pivot point for the millions and billions of dollars that followed.
We all have choices in this story I mentioned, we can choose to remain stagnant and feel sorry for ourselves, or we can choose to keep fighting and striving to provide services that will change the face of humanity forever. We can choose to go out like a weakling or we can choose to go out like the warrior/king we were made to be.
I always tell people to look at the silver lining attached to every bad beginning, that way when others simply see the bad, you see the hidden good in it. I mention warrior/king in the paragraph above, let me explain it. A man suffering without effort is the weakling who has simply resigned to fate. A man who dies struggling, but never made it to the ranks of Warren Buffet is considered a warrior and this is so because while the world might simply see a man who never hit it big despite his struggles, he is actually in fact someone who put in effort to make that difference. The king becomes a king when he gets everything else.
You truly win a fight when you refuse to lose. No matter how terribly we started, we have a choice to decide how we would like our end to be. We can either choose the hero's ending (which truth be told), or we can take the easy way out.
You can rewrite a different story if you set your mind to it. You could have a different story yet be the same man.
