The Stapelia Grandiflora is a very pretty flower to look at since it is uncommon, it is not like most flowers with a vibrant and striking color, or like those flowers that smell too nice whose main attraction is their perfume rather than their appearance.
In this case, this species is characterized not only by its rarity, what most calls my attention about this flower is its smell of rotten meat, also, "Smell of rotten meat" and I asked myself, why would a flower have such an ugly and unpleasant smell?
This led me to read about the subject and I have discovered that the smell of rotten meat is attractive to flies or insects that look for rotten meat to lay their eggs, in this case the flies land on the flower and at that moment they are impregnated with pollen, then they pollinate, they do the necessary work to maintain the survival of this species of plant.
After understanding this process, I look at this flower with different eyes, even though its smell is very unpleasant (like rotting meat) I understand the reason for it being like this, once again I am amazed by the meaning of things and the adaptation that living beings undergo during changes, the transformation that we need to adapt to the new, to changes.
