In that season of 2016 when I had a lot of field work in the popular sector of my city, I was able to visit many unique sites that would have been very difficult for me to access on my own. Something I quite enjoyed about these visits, were how unique the views, structures, stairways and alleys there were, which to me were completely fascinating and which to the inhabitants of these places are totally normal.
En aquella temporada de 2016 cuando tuve mucho trabajo de campo en el sector popular de mi ciudad, pude visitar muchos sitios únicos a los cuales me habría sido muy difícil acceder por cuenta propia. Algo que disfruté bastante de estas visitas, fueron lo único de las vistas, estructuras, escaleras y callejones que allí tenían, que para mi eran completamente fascinantes y que para los habitantes de estos lugares son totalmente normales.
The point to analyze here is how the perspective changes as you are exposed to a place, work or even subject. What amazed me about these places was how different they could be and how it was built organically, which, at the same time, does not mean more efficient. And the other thing is how important it is to visit new places to produce this surprise with a "something" that for someone else may only mean their everyday life.
La cuestión a analizar aquí es como la perspectiva cambia conforme lo expuesto estés expuesto a un lugar, obra o incluso tema. Lo que me asombraba de estos lugares era lo distintos que podrían ser y como esta fue construyéndose de forma orgánica, que, al mismo tiempo, no por ello signifique más eficiente. Y lo otro, es lo importante que es visitar sitios nuevos para producir esta sorpresa con un ¨algo¨ que para otro pueda significar solo su dia a día.
