Yes, I know it sounds like a joke, but that's really the case, I mean, that's my first and last name. I am from Venezuela, I am a 36-year-old man, professional in the area of social sciences; and I come today to introduce myself and start using this platform that is Steemit and that has been highly recommended to me.
I am also a big fan of social networks and a faithful believer in the wealth possibilities that cryptocurrencies (especially BTC) bring with them; But when a friend of mine told me that there was a platform that, in addition to being social, rewarded its users with their cryptocurrency for writing; I could'nt believe it. Until he continued explaining to me; and in the end I understood; and ready; here I am today, already registered in Steemit and writing my presentation post.
To tell you a little about myself, to tell you that although I am a professional, in addition to having worked in my career, I have been an immigrant, and I have worked as an advertising delivery man, innkeeper, wandering musician; secretary, etc; and that's only abroad. Over the years I returned to my country, given the impossibility of continuing to support myself abroad for personal and family reasons and well, here in my country, I returned to work from my career, and also, I have worked as a taxi driver, among many other things , etc. In a few words, I only mention this so that you know me a little. I am a fighter and forward, as we say here in my land.
Nowadays, I no longer work in my professional area (well, for years), firstly, because you can't find a job in my country; and second, because if you succeed, the salary does not justify the effort and responsibility of fulfilling a job from Monday to Friday. I really value my time.
You see, I am a person with a positive mindset, although I live in a country (Venezuela), in which it is very difficult most of the time to maintain it. I love my country and its traditions, but it hurts me that it goes so badly in all the areas in which a country should do better; starting with its economy. And with regard to economy; I clarify that in my country it is very difficult to sustain with a job; because the minimum wage is just $ 4 a month. You will tell me in which country in the world it is possible to sustain with such a salary ... Therefore, it is clear that Venezuelans go through a lot of hardships to moderately cover the cost of the food basket, generally we do not cover it even in a quarter . Anyway, I'm telling you something about what you, dear readers, should already know very well, because I know that there are quite a few Venezuelans writing on this platform and they will have been told (or they are Venezuelans and they don't need anyone to tell them what they already know). Also, it is not my intention to bore you, much less in this my first post, but all this that I mentioned is to put in context more or less what the situation of Venezuelans is to those who are not aware of it.
Going back to my presentation, I told them that I am a positive person; positive-minded, who thinks that all wealth, abundance and prosperity begins with the mind. Therefore, today I begin to write here on Steemit with the greatest of enthusiasm and the greatest of illusions. There are a lot of things I don't know about this platform; although my friend has explained lots of things to me about her; but I will be learning them from the hands of all of you, who already have much more time in it and write posts about it.
I plan to focus my attention on positive issues and on showing them the day-to-day life of a Venezuelan, without falling into pessimism, but from the enthusiasm and trust that faith in God always provides us. From time to time, I aspire and hope to publish motivational articles as well. I hope to grow and help you grow too, dear readers. Any suggestions you have for me, leave it in the comments, remember that I am a new user of this platform and there are many things that I do not know yet; and others that although they have been explained to me or I have read something about them, I still don't understand them.
