A commitment is different from an attachment. You can be attached to the right thing but it doesn't mean you are committed to the the right thing.
I pray you don't get too technical and critical about these simple words in my illustration.
Most people are attached to Jesus. By this, l mean they are born again , one with him (1 Corinthians 6:17) and actually have his life running in their veins. These people are loved by Jesus, so loved and l believe that's you and me.
However, not everyone is committed to Jesus. By this, l mean that people haven't been totally sold out to God. Don't be too technical about these terms also, we are already bought with a price and we are not about to be re-bought.
What l mean is that very few are submissive to God's total will for their lives, very few are quick to do what God tells them to do.
Just because Jesus loves you it doesn't mean that you love him also. He said in John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: .. ...
Are you doing what he is saying? Are letting God's word be the yardstick for your life?
That is what l mean when l say "ATTACHMENT IS DIFFERENT FROM COMMITMENT"
Choose to be both attached and committed!!!
