I am guilty as charged....
I usually noticed that if I have a lot of money I tend to spend it more
The moment it reduces to a certain percentage, I began to watch where my money goes, and handle it efficiently.
At this point, I always thought, why don't I always spend efficiently when I have more money until the money is almost running out?
Then one Sunday morning, I was on hive and I read a blog, I don't remember if it was written by @hranhuk or
@wiseagent(they both have almost the same profile picture, it takes conscious effort to identify whose blog I am reading at a time... Lol)
well, he recommended a book titled, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and I immediately left hive, went to Pdfdrive, and search for the book. I found it and began to read through
I found out its not that we cannot handle money, the reason we seem to always have an abundance of money at some point, and less at another point is because of our root
I quote him 👇👇
All the statements you heard about money when you were young remain in your subconscious mind as part of the blueprint that is running your financial life.
You see how our parents viewed money subconsciously becomes how we do as we grow up. If they viewed it as evil, we will always try to get rid of the extra money we have so we wouldn't be seen as an accomplice to evil
Therefore, being able to triumph over the money beliefs that we inherited from our parents, we first need to be aware of he existence of that belief, understand why we think of money the way we do, and then take conscious steps to disassociate from them, by reconditioning our mentality toward wealth and money.
But if we don't find this early on, we will be unconsciously living the up and down money motion we saw our parents live.
I apologise I drifted from your Utility Margin....I completely understand what you were driving at, it just reminded me of this book, and I decided to share.
