Hmmm yeah debt. Before I left the US I was able to pay off everything except my student loans
I have heard you guys talk about students loans all the time, but, I never truly get what it means and what it does because we do not have such a thing in my country.
Over time I have even widdled that one down but it is still there.
It's a relief that you have been to get rid of part of it, don't worry, you will be able clear up everything completely.
It will feel great to one day be completely out of debt.
I know right, having money and knowing that it's all yours is a good feeling
My hope is to be able to get some land and build a house my self without adding any debt.
You can do this, I trust you, you just need to make adequate plans, and create rooms for adjustments
I have traded not having big paychecks and spending some of my retirement making a life for myself in Ghana, but soon I will have a lot more I hope. I have a car, will have a house, and be close the beach and all with no debt.
You are close to achieving all of these goals, I can feel it in my bones
My dad also realized most of his investments only get him about .5% so he offered to buy out my student loan to keep it in the family at least. And I offered to give him 1% interest. I reduced my monthly payment by half and he increased his return by double an everyone is happy.
Wait a minute, I already said I do not know how you guys students loans work. And now, you talking about dad buying out and getting returns.
I thought it was loans you get from a sort of financial body
And you still being stuck with a part of it means you are still indebted to them.
How does another person buying out of it bring him returns?
