Subduing dreams, in the most diverse ways, is a way of undermining people's will to want to make them real and, with that, the discouragement of wanting to fight for something that is individually important can be a path of no return in a territory that many are full of people frustrated by not having been able to fulfill their dreams.
I like this part very much. We all have dreams but most of us have subdued them, and then become frustrated for not being able to fulfil our dreams
However if someone is able to dream and then watch himself live those dreams as your friend did with the sand beach then we will not have lots of frustrated folks around
It is only that we are so stupid to belive that the only big dream one can have and want to desperately fulifl is that of owning a business
whereas, all dreams are great dreams and should be treated with the same enthusiasm that comes from establishing a business
