Yes electricity is referred to as power in this context and I agree

This is my take on the issue of electricity.

I used to feel so good when there is a power supply even if I am not using it for anything.

I was just obsessed with it. I felt in control because I could iron, boil water, read, watch TV, play music while carrying out my chores with all the electrical devices at home

And then when I started working, I discovered I needed a power supply a lot more. Then I came to realize that our economy could be stable if we had a power supply

Factories will be able to produce more, and probably the prices of goods will reduce since the factors that go into producing the products won't be that high

I remember a sachet water station close to our area that made sure they produced sachet water every night when Power holding company restores power at night

This shows how much power is important. And yes that community you mentioned will be controlled by anyone because they lack such basic amenities as electrical power
