Good news. After a week of working by myself I now have a 2nd year apprentice who isn't a donut!
Look at this crazy wheel setup on an old grain truck.
Same truck on the hoist to get new exhaust built and installed.
How do you test the new guy? Make his first job a big one. This Mustang needs new headgaskets, it's a twenty hour job that requires the engine to be removed.
It's already going together with upgraded Cometic gaskets and ARP headstuds.
I had to shorten this steering column from a 1970 Mustang. It's a little nerve racking because I can't just buy another if I screw it up.
All back together and it fits the car now!
Thursday was a cool morning with a skif of snow.
I guess it is time to light the pilot on the furnace.
Success! Heat now.
And guess what?
I lit the garbage on fire while welding nearby.
Lots of fire in my life lately...
Oil leaking mess of an S10 Chev truck.
A brand new in box fuel level sensor that I had to solder together. I shouldn't have to fix new parts.

Cool old battery charger still in service.
