Bronze Owl + Bronze Oil Lamp
I thought I would share these two great bronze pieces my father picked up on his trip to Athens. Very heavy and very high quality. They were made 30 km outside of Athens in a Greek bronze foundation. The owl is a very important symbol in Athens. Athens was named after Athena, the virgin goddess of wisdom. In Greek mythology, a little owl (Athene noctua) accompanies the goddess. This makes for a very cool Bronze piece with an interesting story behind it. The old style oil lamp is also a very high-quality piece.
