Xmas without kids must be feeling GREAT! No family stuff means no fights and all ;) It will be interesting for you to spend with Italians. When not able to converse in some language, try music? Ah well, the two bottles of wine (I suppose per person, like 2 for your loved one, and 2 for you?) will make you talk Italian, or any other language created when that big tower fell... The Babylon thingy ;)

ps Hahahaha 9 degrees Celcius. Well, always better to 9 degrees Fahrenheit lol. Maybe you need to look out for a better-insulated place? Without heating, the temp in my apartment wasn't going further down than 16 degrees Celsius. Last week outside it went down to 6 to 8 minus early morning and max 0 to 2 degrees above zero late afternoon. I was surprised indoors it hit rock bottom at 16. Now with outside temps up by at least 10 degrees, indoors it is going up slightly as well. Interesting testing I'm doing, which may result in the lowest gas bill I ever had in my life while gas is about 6 times more expensive on my bill hahahaha
