Classic movie indeed and a must watch one. I think I watched this one something like 30 or even 35 years ago. On German television. Back then I watched most of the classics on German television. Their public TV stations had a great run through the classics. One downside of that was: German spoken, ie the original voices were not there. Anyways, doesn't matter :) Some time ago I 'created' and ' directed' my own version of the birds. Not sure if I had any deeper meanings, but was great fun following a pure coincidence. Interested?
