"The Quality over Quantity" subject

Though I'm not an artist (or at least I don't consider myself one), I never understood the "Progress, not perfection".... Sure, when something is good, then no need to continue. But too many artists on YT and other mainstream social media, Bandcamp and even on HIVE are just pumping out a lot of mediocre to bad art (in whatever form), every single day... Sure, quality of art is very subjective, I know , I know :)

I always wondered why these users do this since it can harm the brand of the artist more than it'll gain value. That said, at HIVE one can earn a few to more dollars for any art post, so that's maybe the reason. But as you pointed out, no point in listening to an album once and then forget about it. Well, from a monetary point of view, maybe this doesn't matter (thinking in physical media distribution and monetisation).

Those artists I follow take their time before they publish their art and refrain from publishing whatever they could come up with that day. But that is how I'm wired :)
