Assuming that the US dollar is going to maintain stability and is the absolute best we can do seems like a weird take from anyone who's been here for a significant length of time. In fact the entire reason USD isn't a currency is exactly why it's primed to fail. Putting dollars on a balance sheet without actually having dollars is a great way to experience systemic failure.
