What are your thoughts?
My thoughts are that currencies that hyperinflate still tend to exist.
If USD is no longer a good unit of account and we can no longer measure against it: irrelevant.
The 4-year cycle will still remain;
it will just be potentially harder to measure and perhaps present itself as a "super cycle theory".
I'm also still quite convinced that a crypto will come along that creates its own unit of account without the likes of fiat via its own economic policy. Then we can just measure Bitcoin against this new crypto.
I also believe that USD hyperinflation won't even happen (at least not at first).
I rather believe that USD will be suck at galloping inflation in the 10%-20% range for quite some time.
Even 100% is considered galloping inflation.
USD can and will be used even if the price of everything is going up 5% per month compounded.
Can you write a program and have it do better without you, decades later?
Like the only other person who did that was Linus.
This is very valuable insight.
