Yeah it's just bad business and I should have mentioned it in the OP but they didn't even have to reorganize the XMR chain at all. What was the point of that? They could have just bragged they had a lot of hash power and left it at that, but no they thought the best way to "prove" it was to attack the chain? Seriously dumb logic.
