This is a retro walk. I took all these photos on the way down the shore last January. I stopped on a few residential side streets and took a few photos at the Southern end of the Maurice River. I follow the river for many miles on the route I take most often to Wildwood, New Jersey; but you can't see it at all from the highway. I then ventured down to the state wildlife park where the river meets the Northeast end of the Delaware Bay.
I parked at the park and walked around some trails. I made a wrong turn at one point, but I figured out how to get back to the parking lot. I also walked and drove around some cool spots in the vicinity around a lot of water. There's a few small villages with small stilt houses in the region. It was a much quieter area than I'm used to being in. There's no traffic that travels through the vicinity at all, because of the unique geographical location that leads only to water.
I stopped and made detours many times during my weekly commutes between the Philly suburbs and the deep South Jersey shore. This was actually my most enjoyable and memorable photo shoot stop, and somehow the photos got buried, and I'm finally posting about it almost a year later. I really wanna go back. I don't travel that way now because of my work schedule, but I'm definitely gonna make it a mission to return to this park and explore more and take even more photos! I noticed there's a lighthouse near there when I looked at my GPS. I didn't actually make it that far, but hopefully I soon will!
