I have never looked on success as a short term thing.
Nothing can happen overnight, maybe you can win a lottery or something like that, but things that are achieved by pratice and dedication, can never be done in one day.
I have been practising my skills every day for straight 8 years now.
Quite a progression I have achieved in my pug drawings.
I added years of creation to each one here.
4 Drawings but different time frames.
The main difference makes the details. In the drawings years ago, I had rougher lines, 10x less details.
If you take a quick look, all of the drawings might seem good. But if you compare all of drawings, there is quite a change in these.
Also through the years I have limited the times I am using the eraser. That made me to outdraw the highlights naturally, which only made to spend extra time on a drawing. Earlier drawings had the highlights just erased.
These I made in 2018.
This I made in 2014.
I made this back in 2013.
