“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life, weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.”
Psalms 30:5
The favour of God turns sorrow to joy. The anointing of favour imparts supernatural joy and gladness. Sorrow is unhappiness caused by hardship and negative happenings.
How favour cancels sorrow:
- Favour secures mercy for repentance and escape from judgement. Repentance is a function of grace and grace means favour.
- Favour boosts faith and confidence in the face of hopelessness. “Lord, by thy favour thou host made my mountain to stand strong. Thou didst hide thy face and l was troubled.” (Ps.30:7).
