Gonorrhea is a very common infectious bacteria that can grow and multiply in the mucus membrane e.g in fallopian tubes ,in anus of male and females in uterus of females etc .it recorded that over a wide range of individuals are affected by gonorrhea ever year .
Mostly it is recorded to be contacted during sexual contact maybe viginal , oral, anal even without ejaculation
Symptoms
N. Gonorrhea differ depending on the infection.
Infection of the genital can result in purulent discharge from the genital which could be very smelling dysura and a burning sensation during urination which is the last thing one could ever dream of . In males, If contacted, symptoms could take up to 2-5 days but for females it could take up to 30days before materialization.. It could, if not not treated develop into pelvic inflammatory disease for females, and swollen and painful testicles for males (epididymitis)... Research says that the N.gonorrhea could be diagnosed using gram strain test, which turn red for gram negative bacteria.
Treatment
Before, bacterial infection such as this, where always treated with fluoroquinolones but in resent times, it has proven note to be so effective in dealing with complex bacteria like this so. but other antibiotics like,
Cefixime(suprax),400mg orrally or
Ceftriaxone(Rocephin) ,125mg intramuscularly or
The popular, ciproflaxacin(cipro),500mg orrally or
Levoflaxacin(levaquin),250 my orrally or
Ofloxacin(floxin) 400 mg orrally
