Hello Steemians,
If you'd noticed from my previous posts, I post random things, both important and unimportant for either entertainment or information. Recently, I've been making alot of research on steemit and I've found out that many steemians benefit the least because of lack of information.
So, as a newbie steemian too, I want to take it upon myself to help out anyway I can by sharing some of the little knowledge I've acquired.
Most people have had to spend more time doing something they could have done in minutes due to lack of information.
So taking the above topic into consideration, I introduce BLOCKTRADES.
Most Steemians who have spent at least a week on steemit should have heard about blocktrades.
First off, What is blocktrades?
Blocktrades is a cryptocurrency exchange market in which some selected cryptocurrency can be purchased using other cryptocurrency.
It is the main exchange market for Steem and is the fastest means of purchasing Steem or Steem dollars or Steem Power without delay.
Now, have you ever heard of powering up or powering down?
I'll assume the answer is no and therefore I'll explain.
Powering up is simply the conversion of steem to steem power.
This is simply done by select the wallet tab on your profile, clicking on the draw down tab for Steem, and selecting "power up". This will then open a page as shown above in which you are to enter the amount of Steem you wish to power up and DONE. now you just have to wait three months for the Steem Power to reflect in your wallet.
Same goes for powering down, but it's sorta the opposite. This is converting Steem power back to steem.
Here you click the draw down tab for Steem Power and then it takes you to the page above where you'll select the amount of Steem Power you want to convert back to steem. And then you wait馃檮.
But why wait?
It's easy, instead of doing a power up or a power down. You can get Steem dollars or Steem or Steem Power quickly by simply accessing the blocktrades market and making an exchange there.
Let me show you.
Let's say a power up for example:
1.Click on the draw down tab for Steem in your account wallet but instead of selecting power up, you select "sell"
Automatically, you will be redirected to the blocktrades link where you'll select what you want to sell and what you want to acquire in exchange. In this case, we're selling Steem for Steem Power.
2. Input the amount of Steem you wish to exchange and the system will then show you how much Steem power you will receive.
3. Scroll down and input you steemit account username in the space provided and select "get deposit address"
You will then be taken to the page below
4.Select "manual transfer" and copy the memo generated for your transaction.
5.Go back to your steemit wallet and select transfer from the Steem draw down tab. You will be taken to the page below
6.input blocktrades as the receiver and input the amount you wish to send. In the memo box, input the generated memo copied from blocktrades(very important) and then click submit. After a few seconds refresh your wallet page and voila! you have your Steem power.
So why wait? Use blocktrades.
