More than two years have passed since I first started playing @Splinterlands. On those days it was called SteemMonsters and at the beginning we were only able to trade cards and they had to be traded outside the platform on Discord groups. It took several months so we coudl buy and sell cards on the platform and until October of 2018 we were able to participate in our first duels.

From the very beginning I remember I chose the Life Splinter and I bought the cards that I thought would be more useful. I think I have a very solid team there, have a look:
On an alt account started buying cards for the Death Splinter but after a couple of months I decided to use only one account and I transferred all the cards to my main profile. I am a minimalist in many aspects so I sell almost all of the cards that I do not use. Maybe by mistake I decided to sell all my Death cards and focus on only on the Life Team. On that time I also bought a very useful Dragon Summoner:
Tomorrow Splinterlands is moving from Steem to Hive, the end of an era. This game is one of the (if not the most) active Blockchain game dapp. This will significantly increase the transactions in the Hive Blockchain and now that they will only accept DEC and Credits for market purchases I believe that interesting things will happen. We will still be able to buy credits with many criptos:
This past week I received my first SteemPower down after the reduction to four weeks. Because most exchanges were not accepting Steem deposits I decided to buy Splinterlands cards:
I only had Life and Dragon summoner so I decided to buy this Water Summoner and also some powerful water cards:
It was a very big investment for me, buy I think it was worth it. I was able to reach Champion III rank, something that I had not achieved in a very long time.
With some extra HBD that I had after being able to buy the iPad I decided to buy more cards to complete my Water Splinter and also get some good Neutral Cards that are very useful. This are some cards that I bought. I went a little crazy hehe:
This has been my journey so far! Splinterlands is a very fun game and a good way to have the possibilities to earn extra tokens and cryptos. I don't know if I have made more money that what I have spent but I don't care and I am possitive that I have won enough to cover my cards expenses and if I wanted to sell them I would recover all the coins that I have spent and more.
