Saludos a todos, hoy estoy feliz de poder escribir este pequeño post. Aún no soy padre y creo que todavía me falta un tiempo para serlo (uno nunca sabe), pero sí tengo la dicha de tener un buen papá. Es enojón, a veces un poco intenso, pero lo quiero mucho. Siempre ha luchado por mí y me ha cuidado en las buenas y en las malas. Me bañaba de bebé porque a mi mamá le daba miedo y me llegó a cuidar cuando ya estaba grande y estuve hospitalizado.

Greetings everyone, today I am happy to be able to write this little post. I am not a father yet, and I think I still have some time to be one (you never know), but I have the joy of having a good dad. He's grumpy, sometimes a little intense, but I love him very much. He has always stood up for me and taken care of me through thick and thin. He bathed me when I was a baby because my mom was scared of him, and he took care of me when I was old and hospitalized.

Mi papá se llama Jorge, igual que mi abuelo y que mi hermano. Me gusta ese nombre. Al ser el hijo más pequeño de mis abuelos le empezaron a decir Goggy y Jorgito de cariño. Mi papá es carpintero y es muy bueno. Él quería ser artista plástico, pintor, escultor y ese tipo de cosas, pero no lo dejaron y estudió la carrera de arquitectura, la cual no terminó pro problemas con los maestros. Estudió en la UNAM que es la universidad pública (y creo que en general) más importante de todo México.

My dad's name is Jorge, just like my grandfather and my brother. I like that name. Being the youngest son of my grandparents, they started calling him Goggy and Jorgito as a nickname. My dad is a carpenter, and he is very good. He wanted to be a plastic artist, painter, sculptor, and that kind of thing, but they didn't let him, and he studied architecture, which he didn't finish because of problems with the teachers. He studied at the UNAM, the most important public university (and I think generally) in Mexico.

Mi papá también fue músico y tiene un don y talento especial para esto, el cual no me heredó. De hecho mis papás se conocieron en el Coro del Colegio Alemán, en una gira que hicieron por Europa. Puedo decir que mi hermano y yo existimos gracias a la música. Mis papás se casaron en el 83 y mi hermano nació en el 85 y yo en el 87. Mi papá de hecho es más joven que mi mamá, pero se ve mucho más grande. Cuando fueron a ponerse la vacuna le preguntaron a mi mamá si mi papá era su papá.

My dad was also a musician and had a special gift and talent for this, which he did not inherit from me. In fact, my parents met in the German School Choir, on a tour they did in Europe. I can say that my brother and I exist thanks to music. My parents got married in '83, and my brother was born in '85, and I was born in '87. My dad is actually younger than my mom, but he looks much older. When they went to get their vaccination, they asked my mom if my dad was her dad.

Quiero mucho a mi papá y estoy feliz porque ahora tenemos una mucho mejor relación. Puede ser porque ya no vivimos juntos y solo nos vemos los fines de semana. También es porque los dos hemos madurado y hemos aprendido a respetarnos. Hubo un tiempo donde nos peleábamos mucho y en algunas ocasiones tuve que correr para que no me pagara, esto fue cuando ya estaba grande, de niño nunca me pegó.

I love my dad very much, and I am happy because we have a much better relationship now. It may be because we no longer live together and only see each other on weekends. It's also because we have both matured and learned to respect each other. There was a time when we used to fight a lot and sometimes I had to run so he wouldn't pay me, this was when I was older, as a child he never hit me.
