What Are EDSI Tokens?
Eddie Earner Income (EDSI) tokens are income-generating tokens on the HIVE blockchain that pay weekly dividends every Monday. These dividends come from 12% of the total HIVE POWER balance held by the

EDSI has a hard cap of 500,000 tokens, with an initial public sale of 20,000 tokens priced at 1 HIVE each. New EDSI tokens can be minted in two ways:
- Staking EDS Miners (EDSM) or EDS Mini Miners (EDSMM).
- Delegating HIVE POWER to
@eds-vote.
- EDSM miners yield approximately 20% annually.
- EDS-vote provides returns of about 4-5% per year.

This Weeks EDSI Report
Fairly standard week with 528 EDSI being minted, bringing the total in circulation up to 87,283. We seemed to have plateaued a few months back when we were minting closer to 700 per week.
This week the account powered up 588 HIVE, bringing the total HP balance to 145,127. It'll not be long until we hit that 150k mark. Maybe another 13-14 weeks. We can expect from next week to see the amount of HIVE we are powering up to decrease as we start a new smaller powerdown from eds-vote.
This week we start the Income Pool freeze.
Starting from next week, i will be recording our income pool based on a 9% APY of the account HP balance. It has been 12% since launch, but after a recent vote, token holders have decided the best course of action is to reduce it to 9% to ensure EDSI as a project remains sustainable long term.
The Income Pool for the foreseeable future will be 335 HIVE and will remain at this amount until a 9% APY of the account balance is equal to more than 335 HIVE weekly.
You can expect to see the HIVE income payment decrease by a fraction each week because while the income pool amount is frozen for a while, we are still minting new EDSI each week. Of course, as normal we will publish the EDSI APY in the weekly report as normal, like below.
We have a rare week with the EDSI APY actually increasing. The reason for this is that I rounded up the income pool, and a bigger income pool equals a greater effect on the EDSI APY.
tHE apy THIS WEEK IS 20.03% and we're back over 20% again but probally only for this week as well. I always say the crypto gods have a sense of humor and they knew dropping under 20% would hurt me so they decided to put us through it twice. haha.
