The digital ledger technology is gaining more ground in the field of public services.

Russia’s Rosreestr – Federal Service of State Registration, Land Register and Mapping, has began utilizing blockchain for real estate registration.

In fact that’s the same path the US government has recently taken… However, it is important to understand that the use of this technology is not limited to real estate alone. Blockchain technology can eventually find wide adoption in healthcare systems where a decentralized system would facilitate transparency in interactions between all the participants of the medical-pharmaceutical market and ensure secure storage of data for the industry as a whole.

The UK government has also come to appreciate the exceptional advantages of the technology and has since put decentralized technologies to good use at the Public Record Office of the United Kingdom located in London, incidentally, one of the oldest archives of the modern world. Now the institution is now utilizing blockchain in its daily operation.

Georgia has also began adopting decentralized technology in education – it is very convenient when the information on payments, diplomas, tuitions and all the rest is both freely available and immutable.

A lot of global powers are already developing different scenarios of adopting blockchain in short-term, mid-term and long-term perspective. We believe that utilizing innovational technologies will make the public services sector more accessible and convenient for the people.
