Currently we have neither, but after spending the last week around both, and talking to other Agricultors in the Farm and Garden Corner of BroFund Discord, and noting the price ranges are similar, I decided to ask the question.

Which would you buy, a Cow or a Car?

While visiting with some cattle farmers this past week, we observed a very nice mob grazing set up. I first heard about Mob Grazing with Joel Salatin in the US. Here, its called PUAD - Pastoreo de Ulta Alta Densidad. The High density rotational grazing stands in stark contrast to the more common method of allowing 2.5 acres per cow in a common fence.

We have also been looking at some very old cars, the type that can be fixed forever. I believe both models that we saw this week were rebuilt cars from the 1980's. The Nissan Patrol is a bit larger than the Suzuki.

High up in our mountains, transport can be difficult. But down near to the plains the cows have lots of room to graze. The grass has time to recover in the rotarional grazing methods, allowing it to be much healthier and absorb more carbon.

For a long time we have avoided both cows and cars, but now we are seeing more of them. These cattle farmers would like some help enriching their fencelines with useful trees and plants. More to come on that project.

Answer my question thoughtfully for some HSBI prizes!
