This is a post I have been stalling since I watched the Netflix series Surviving R Kelly. In the series, allegations were made about the various things that Robert Kelly had done to women.

They included physical abuse, psychological manipulation, formation of a sex cult and criminal enterprise all of which and more that have been brought up in trial against the singer this year in court.

After watching the Netflix series I decided to search up his case and found out that he was to be in court this August...I think on the 18th.

They had just started jury selection at the time and the main case was to start a few days after. I also read news of how R Kelly had fired his formal legal team a few months back and that's why the case had not started earlier in the year.

So far following up with the case has had elements of what we saw in the Surviving R Kelly series and many new elements. Like in addition to the abuse and sexual assault on women... men were also assaulted... Just yesterday a man testified that the singer tried to perform oral sex on him and he declined. Then R Kelly used him from an age of 17 to fulfil sexual desires that were sick for a short description.

K Relly also was said to have given several of his sexual partners herpes knowingly...This was discovered after a cross-examination of his doctor who took the stand.

I am still enjoying getting all the information from the case...I hope to follow it to the end.

I am aware that there are many R Kelly supporters what with him being The King of R&B...But I think that the charges lined up against him cannot be a coincidence...

The trial continues today, and I am following it through Plainest Jane on Youtube because she gives the full details and she is also funny.
