In this post, I'll teach you how to write your first post on Hive and on steemit and I'll let you in on how to make a nice markdown design for your post.

If you use peakd.com then just click the pen icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen, it's to the left of the profile icon.

When you do click ** create a post**. The body the editor page of peakd will show.

Click the My blog and select the blog you're subscribed to.

If you're not subscribed to any blog I suggest you subscribe to one of these.

Hivenaija or [ocd](created/hive-174578] or gem.

When you open the community page click subscribe and come back to the Editors page to post.

Writing an Introduction

To write an Introduction is easy really. I use to be of the opinion that it has to belong but more than 200 words should be good...it all depends on how much of yourself you wish to up out there.

The title column of the post is where you give a well...title...I suggest 6 to 7 words like:

My Hive introduction: Welcome a king

New to Hive Come let's chat!

Something along those lines would be cool.

**The body **is totally up to you, but I suggest writing a simple prose with your name, what you do, your likes and dislikes.

Try to make it interesting...

I will add some examples of successful introduction posts that I know of.

The tags depend on the topic and also the popular tags that people typically tag like #proofofbrain, #ctp, #leofinance, #gem and others.
