To stream or not to stream. That is the question!

I generally do not stream. If I can torrent it, why would I? Although...! there are some cases when you won't always find what you're looking for with torrents. They have to be seeded, and older shows most of the time aren't. Otherwise, you have to sign up with a private anime tracker like BakaBt or AnimeBytes, generally through invitation and those aren't exactly easy to get into, so here comes streaming to the rescue!

Here's my list of helpful anime streaming sites that you can use that I have no problem with. Just don't do it too often.

The List

KissAnime

KissAnime - The elephant in the room. As far as I'm aware, KissAnime has the largest selection of anime for streaming. The quality is good enough, and the interface is easy enough to handle. My only pet peeve is that it forces you to answer to some annoying captcha every time you want to watch a series on it. Furtheremore, you should also watch out for the KissAnime copycats looking to make a quick buck. You'll know just by looking at the UI and their generally poorer selection of anime. I won't post the link because it changes every now and then. I assume it's done to avoid copyright strikes since the site is one of the biggest target for copyright trolls. It's usually the first link on the google search results.

KissAnime

Masteranime - Masteranime is no different from any other streaming sites, except that it shows you when an anime episode releases on a particular day. This is helpful for those who watch their anime on a weekly basis.

Animelon

Animelon - If you're learning Japanese, and you watch anime, this is the ultimate resource you need. There's a limited number of shows on the site, but they're offered with both English and Japanese subtitles; romaji, hiragana, katakagana, all included. You can even use the time stamps available on the translation file to seek to the exact moment when a character in an anime is saying something. The translation text can also be copied. Seriously, this site is THAT helpful.

because.moe

Because Moe - This isn't a streaming site, but it is a conduit to official streaming sites. Let's say you want to watch Boku no Hero Academia legally, but don't know which legal service offers it, then this site will take care of that. I'm not American or even European, so I'm locked out of these many services. Plus, I've already written about why I don't like Crunchyroll, so there's that too.

This might be a short list, but nothing else out there isn't really worth your time. If you know a superb service that I haven't recommended, do let me know. I will only include it though if it does something unique and innovative with anime streaming like the ones I listed above, otherwise there's no point.
