I am a spiteful, hateful, rude, very unbalanced piece of shit. I don't care about what I "earn" on Hive, all I care about is the message. And the message is simple: Total freedom can only be obtained through 100% total anonymity. I would rather have Hive be a place where I can say and DO anything I want, total creative freedom and licence, and NO economy on top.

As is now, I can say and do anything I want on Hive, anybody can. It's amazing in that way. However, with the economy on top baked-in, speech is commodified, instantiated through a filter honed to a fine point to make people "money".

The best story I know about Diogenes is the one where Alexander the Great, most powerful man in the Ancient World by a longshot, comes to the infamous barefooted, homely cynical philosopher and asks how he may curry favor with him.

Diogenes is quoted, famously, as saying, "Yes, you can get out of my light".

See, the problem with Web 3 NOW is the same problem with Web 2. People SAY and DO what is popular, what is acceptable. They'll kiss the feet of those they think they should kiss the feet of and they'll yell up with walls of pontification about how Subject A is virtuous and profitable but Subject B is perfidious, odious and should never be given economic value.

We shouldn't...no...We CANNOT have an economy and also have total freedom. It's just not how humans (Read: spineless cowards) on the internet work.
