The media gives SO much attention and spends so much time and money on topics that are designed to distract.

The media talked about this meteor for literally one day, and that was it.

Basically, a bomb from the universe exploded that was 30 times more destructive and powerful than the Little Boy Bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima and leveled that city, doing this:
