I think what all these countries are going to end up doing is going on cbdcs and have almost all work be automated except for actual customer-facing work and nobody will manufacture ever again. It's going to be totally totalitarian but totally paid for. It's so horrifying to think about but the transition to that is likely to be even worse before society totally capitulates to that.
