People are "against" NFTs because the centralized systems that have created the scam system de jeur right now with loot boxes and "cosmetics" are directly threatened by NFTs. The centralized markets for cosmetics on Epic, Ubisoft, EA and Valve's storefronts must be worth tens of billions of dollarydoos. NFTs in gaming that are launched by the devs of the games themselves would bankrupt Valve I imagine. Why would people by CS:Go lootboxes in another year or two when there is a new, hot shooter that gives decentralized NFTs for playing or that you could trade in marketplaces set up around the game or the brand?
