the citizenry is also asleep at the wheel (or just exhausted from trying to make it) for not clamoring en masse for strict term limits and a ban on congress members from stock trading while in office. or about how the majority of our superfund toxic waste cleanup sites are decrepit and still dangerous to their communitiies (think Flint but in every state and city). how we don't seem to question at all what's happening with julian assange, wikileaks and with what our government truly is doing using our tax donation to them. how so many food processing plants are burning down, the neverending arms race, chinese state-owned or affiliated "investments" across america (look into muscatine, iowa...)....

we have the most evil leaders and they seem to be pushing as much pressure as possible in ratcheted tranches on the american people. it's more of a slinky going down a meandering staircase than a slippery slope but the slinky moves onward
