Right behind my house is the cool and calm Flamingo lake located in Cyprus. This famous lake which starts to gather gradually during the spring and completely dries up at the peak of summer, is a resting point for several species of water birds. Each year, around mid April these birds can be seen in Cyprus as they migrate from Africa down to Europe isn't that amazing? Some species of birds you can see on the lake includes: merlin, night heron, cuckoo, pallid and several others. This particular spot is gradually becoming a top tourist attraction and sight spot for both locals and visitors as you can always bet to see people on it's bank with either their cameras or binoculars. Nature indeed is amazing.
