Festivals are momentous occasions that display the rituals of diverse religions. India is a land with one of the world. Here, festivals are celebrated with as much passion as in any country in the world. Most Indian festivals are truly religious, which certain occasions are more generalized Mother's Day, Father's Day, valentine's day, New year, Halloween and Thanksgiving have emerged as newly adopted occasion with the great of national importance. Since people in India are known for their easy adaptability to western culture, these general festival have secured prominence in Indian Calendar of the event.
Those general festivals have been solemnized as an auspicious day in India. During such occasions, people exchange gift with their loved ones, hold gatherings for family and friends and cook a special feast. All these traditions being adopted from the Original, western celebration. Out of these occasions, Mother's day and Valentine's day have become the most popular festival where as Halloween and Thanksgiving are not as ubiquitous as the others.
