Everyone needs divine help. Divine help is God's provision for you to partake in limitless dimensions; it will make things easier and better for you.
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the
LORD his God.
And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
David found strength in God; he needed His help so that he would make the right decision. God gave him a sure word: Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all”. David and his men helped the Egyptian found In the field; in turn he led David to the host that destroyed Ciklag and David recovered all. God gave him the victory. Divine help Is divine assistance to cross limits and break barriers. It is a divine boost or contribution to make you exceed your limit; it makes you stronger. It is God's provision for you to do what you can't do by human help. It is what God does for you that you cannot do for yourself. It is God standing with you or taking sides with you, giving you a divine lift.
The display of Samson's strength and might and his victory over the Philistines was nothing but the help of God. With the help of God, David killed a lion and a bear, he also killed Goliath. Paul shook the snake off into the fire and was not hurt (Acts 28: 5) because he received the help of God. Divine help puts you in a special realm. You will do yourself some great good when you tap into divine help Without it you cannot make headway in marriage, your charactel academics, business etc. David cried to God: “...please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless” (Psalm.108:12). It is now our opportunity to approach God with boldness; He is so readyto give us the help we so much need. Our help is in the name of the Lord (Psalm.124:8).
And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drave before those other cattle, and said, This is David's spoil.
And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them.
Then answered all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away, and depart.
Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.
For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.
David returned with great spoilt but the men who went with him declined to share the spoilt with the two hundred men who were too exhausted to go with him. Look at David's gracious response: “Don‘t be selfish with what the Lord has given us. He has kept us safe and helped us defeat the band of raiders that attacked us” (vs. 23). He acknowledged the help of God to be the source of their victory. You need to know this about the help of God. You must be willing to let God help you; He will not force it on you. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power (Psalm 110:3).
God's help comes either swiftly or gradually. Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses (Psalm 25:12). God taught David. Whatever be the speed at which God's help comes to you, do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward (Hebrews 10:35). You cannot challenge God successfully. He determines the speed with which His help comes.
God's help will come in response to repentance, a change of attitude. Sin is a reproach to any people; it leaves them weak. He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy (Proverbs.28: 13). Repentance attracts forgiveness of sin and restoration. God is our refuge and strength (Psalm.46:1). God can help when it seems too late for someone to help. God never comes too late. Lazarus was dead but Jesus raised him.
