One of the most stunning roadtrips I have ever made was the Ruta 23 in north Chile.
This beautiful road is about 310km long and starts in Calama, the only bigger city in this region. It goes up to an altitude of 4580m in the Andes and finally leads over the mountain pass "Paso Sico" to Argentina.
It is a great experience to drive in this stunning vast landscape. Alongside the road are many highlights: the Atacama Desert, the oasis town San Pedro, beautiful Moon Valley and the high plateau Altiplano with salt lakes and volcanoes...
