The chipper shredder was not able to handle the four month old pine tree branches and needles from the front yard. They were still just a little too wet. But luckily I had a bunch of palm tree fan leaves and branches from a few weeks back still. Those were great in the chipper. So I put on with nice thick layer probably about 4 to 5 in of mulched palm tree debris. I then took the pine tree branches pine tree needles and the pinecones from out front and lay that on top of all the green material that I just mulched.
