Summary:
Written and performed by Lisa Michelle, "Those Wild Freedoms" is a high-energy declaration of independence that welcomes listeners into her personal honky tonk. The song traces her journey from being "knee-high to a grasshopper" watching the chuckwagons with her father, to becoming a woman who refuses to be fenced in by "sweet-talking cowboys" or limitations.
Inspired by the sight of a barrel racer in "sparkly blue," Lisa Michelle sings about trading ribbons for rhinestones and finding her own rhythm under the big Alberta sky. It is a song about rejecting a "fenced-in lullaby" in favor of the open horizon, celebrating a spirit that鈥攎uch like a mustang wind鈥攃annot be bought, bossed, or sold.
