Testing Cutting Out 3/8" Aluminum Plate on the CNC Plasma Table! My Actifit Report Card: May 30 2025
We tried cutting some thicker aluminum plate for the first time on our table! Cut pretty good. Still a little bit of cleanup on the material as is to be expected with Plasma cutting!
We have to cut some rings out of 3/8" aluminum plate. We had a small piece of plate so I created this drawing with the piece pictured here, allows us to test round shapes as well as hole tolerances. The four hole size in this piece are 1", 3/4", 1/2" and 1/4".
And it just so happened. This piece turned out to look like a little alien!
Here's a photo of that shows the cut quality up close!
