I once saw a picture of two men digging for gold, the man at the top dug through the hard rock and when he was closer to reach the gold he gave up. The man digging below him continued with just one more hit, to his surprise he saw a glimpse of gold. The difference between these men was the little extra. Sometimes in life, what we're pursuing after may just need that little extra effort, little extra trial, or that little touch. In the world we live in today, many have settled for mediocrity because they're tired of trying and unfortunately just closer to their big break. The man who made an electric bulb was never discouraged by the number of times he failed but believed they were all a process of learning.
People are usually reluctant to try anything that has a challenge because it stretches their endurance ability, one trial and they're losing their grip of confidence. As long as we live, one more extra is needed, it's never a failure until we give up, it's never a loss until we give up trying the little extra. Do you feel your content is not appreciated? do the little extra, winners are always characterized by their ability to withstand pressure, giving no space for discouraging factors.
Everything may be going in the opposite direction which we have planned, nothing may seem to be working, or we might have almost exhausted the resources we have gathered, the advice this evening is to give that little extra effort, give that extra love, give that little extra kindness, it may just be that little that makes up everything.
