Possible, and if so, not getting vaccinated seems sensible. But how you can be "pretty sure" about it, especially since you are arguing that it is easy to mix up with the flu. But if you took an antibodies test and you got a positive test for covid antibodies, then this argument would be a lot stronger.

Symptoms matched. Timing Matched. Family members were tested for Influenza and Pneumonia which both came back negative. This was before the CDC started saying anything about it.

Truthfully. I am not much of a gambler. I go on probabilities. I have ZERO interest in taking any experimental vaccine. And while I am not actually anti-vaccine I am against the fact the vaccine manufacturers are protected from any liability for their products while also being pretty much guaranteed to sell their products.

I honestly would not take it anyway. The risk from COVID is so low that I'd much rather deal with it and take my chances than take the risks from a vaccine still in experimental stages. If it was out of experimental stages I'd read the possible side effects and the chance of them occurring and I'd compare those probabilities to the probabilities of the effects of COVID. Then I would make my decision.

Odds are I wouldn't take this vaccine. Throw that in with a lot of the absolutely not scientific messaging being used to try to coerce people into taking it and that makes me even less likely.

"Pretty Sure" comes from the timing, the symptoms, and the fact we were tested for other things that had tests. COVID test was not yet available.

A should have pointed out: 1) many people won't take the vaccine out of fear generated by misinformation and, even worse, 2) some people cannot take the vaccine because they are already immunocompromised (and these people are the ones who would be at greatest risk of dying if you expose them to the virus).

I could also point out that many people WILL take the vaccine out of fear generated by misinformation.

If you trust the CDC, WHO, and many of these politicians that much then you are very selectively choosing when to trust them and when not to trust them. They have contradicted themselves and flip flopped so often that at least to someone like me that pays attention and doesn't just ignore the past and go with the latest talking points that is a RED FLAG. (EDIT: While I did say "you" here I intended it as a collective YOU and not as a personal dig or assumption about you. - Bad habit I do sometimes.)

Why do I say this?

You don't know WHO is giving the misinformation.

You don't know what misinformation is.

Neither do I.

Again I listen. I observe. I research. I read VAERS. I visit the WHO. I visit the CDC (usually way behind and not much to learn there). I observe the other things other nations are doing.

I observe the places with the most lockdowns, the places with the least lockdowns, etc. and compare.

I make up my own mind. People that trot out the "misinformation" label need to be very careful as that way leads to authoritarian nightmares.

Just because something is not fitting some "official" narrative is not proof of misinformation.

On the other hand you are correct that some people it is contraindicated and they can't take it for medical reasons. There have some places so afraid of the "unvaccinated" that they have been trying to tell people like this to take them anyway.

I mean they are giving this to children and the side effects known to occur with the vaccines are a FAR greater risk to children than COVID is by far.

I'd say if someone is telling a survivor (doesn't have to be me) they must take a vaccine that sounds like misinformation if you are at all aware of the science.

In addition look how many different experimental vaccines there are (4 in the U.S. plus others in other countries). They are ALL being treated as though they work. Take ANY of them and you complied and get a vaccine passport.

Little concern for which ones don't work. Which ones work better. They are being treated as though they are not experiments and that they are equal.

Lot's of RED FLAGS. I think people are often pointing the "misinformation" in the wrong direction.
