Understanding something can be difficult if you haven't experienced it yourself. You may know the outcome, but without being in that position, you won't truly comprehend the significance. Poverty is a perfect example. Those who have experienced it firsthand often strive to attain wealth because they understand that having money can prevent them from being poor again. Their struggle with poverty naturally leads them to envision a life of abundance and to do everything in their power to escape poverty. Understanding their motivation becomes easier when viewed from this perspective.
Connecting to your goals is important because it will be easier to develop a strong motivation. Someone with a strong reason for their goals will have more passion to achieve them compared to someone who just makes a choice based on their feelings or wants. While both individuals might have a chance at success, the person with a strong reason will have more determination. The main reason why people fail to achieve their goals is often because they are not truly connected to them and their reason for pursuing them is not strong enough. It's not just about willpower, it's about having a meaningful connection to your goals rather than just making a list of what you want and wishing for it.
Have a reason
Some people are simply copycats who mimic others without a clear reason for their actions. They tend to imitate what's around them or follow instructions without considering their own motivations. While it's not necessarily bad to listen to others, it's important to align their advice with your own sense of purpose. Additionally, some individuals choose careers for which they have no passion and struggle to give their best effort. When things go wrong, this lack of passion can cause many people to give up when faced with challenges, as they lack a strong incentive to persevere.
Everyone has their own unique reasons for doing things; it could be to save, support, or bring about change. It's important to find a reason that genuinely means a lot to you and that you feel connected to. This will not only help you stay motivated, but it will also support you during moments of self-doubt. When people give up on their goals, it's often because their reasons aren't strong enough. That's why it's crucial to find reasons that are powerful enough to keep your motivation alive. This is why we need to ask ourselves what we truly want.
It does not end there.
You must have a reason if you want to have a significant improvement in your life and it must not be any reason but something that you are connected to and this will create the whypower which I believe is greater than willpower. We must stop making a list of the things we want without a good reason that will make us achieve them. It is time we start asking ourselves questions about the change we want and go for it like our life depends on it.
Thanks for your time.
