The life of a man

Being a man has been one of the biggest challenges I've faced in my life. This difficulty is further compounded when you live in Africa, where the societal expectations of men are higher. As a man, you are expected to provide for your family, protect them, and maintain order in your household. In a country where the odds are stacked against you, this can be an extremely hard task, even men who live in countries with a better economy still complain about how hard it is to be a man.

For this reason alone, it is tough for men not to be emotional sometimes.

If you think about how you want to deal with life and how you want to meet so many societal expectations, it can break you down as a man. And one thing most people forget is that we are also humans. All this pressure gets too much for us at times, but it is not ideal for a real man to be emotional because an emotional man is a dangerous man. How should we express ourselves when being emotional is dangerous?

I learned a great lesson from my mother because she has a way of always pushing me hard. She would tell me not to be sluggish, Not to complain, I should always try my best in every little task she gave me. She will say I know you are human, sometimes things can be hard but it is very important in your life to open up. She will tell me to sit down and share my thoughts.

As men, we often find certain things to be quite challenging and demanding, and we try our best to overcome them. However, there are times when we feel overwhelmed by the pressure and need someone to talk to. The people we confide in can have a huge impact on us, which is why it's crucial to surround ourselves with the right circle of friends and family. This is particularly important for men who struggle to keep their emotions in check. Your friends can either lead you astray or help you through tough times.

Emotional woman are better

It is just very wild when people say women are weak. Some people even tell you they are very emotional, but if you are realistic, we all know that women are emotional, but they can control their emotions if you ask me. I will say that to be a woman is even harder than to be a man, especially if you encounter a strong woman. You know how mentally and physically strong they can be, No matter how strong you are as a man your emotions may ruin you.

There are many women out there who lead their lives without causing any major impact on society due to their emotional nature. However, if you observe two emotional men from society, you can easily identify their emotional state as it can lead to extreme behaviors such as becoming a serial killer, rapist, and so on. On the other hand, some men tend to keep their emotions bottled up which can lead to problems, whereas women are more open about their emotions and can handle them in a better way. As a man holding your emotions to yourself will only damage you.

we have a higher number of men in prison and we have more men commit suicide every year this is no argument that women can handle emotions and pressure more than men because immediately you hold up emotion as a man it eats you up alive, it makes you do things you don't want to do and I learned a great lesson from my mother that as a man you should be able to express what you feel for those people who are close to you to have more clarity on how you want to live your life and your plans.

Downside

The life of a man is already hard. It will be even harder if you have the wrong people around you, people who advise you just to see your downfall. This is the reason why people don't open up because immediately you open up to some people, they will start making fun of you or use your problem as a topic for their friends, and these are the reasons why a lot of men die in silence, and holding all of this problem doesn't solve matters; it only complicates it.

As a man, one of the few things you should build is a relationship in which you are comfortable enough to share what you are going through, and you know that they have your best interest because life is even harder for a man when we keep quiet.
